FAQ Surfari Surf School San Diego
1. Where do I meet for my surf lesson?
Please meet at our location, Surfari Surf School. Our address is 3740 Mission Boulevard in Mission Beach, California. View Map
2. What should I bring to a surf lesson?
Bring sunscreen, swimsuit, a towel, and water.
3. How early should I arrive?
Arrive 30 minutes before class to ensure a parking spot, put on your wetsuit, and sign your waiver.
4. Where do I park?
There is a free public parking lot located 2 blocks South of our location at the Santa Clara traffic light. In addition, there is also a pay to park lot 2 blocks North of our location.
5. How good of a swimmer do I have to be?
If you can swim with your head above water you will be all right. Weak swimmers will be kept in shallow water at all times.
6. Are there restrooms nearby?
Surfari Surf School is equipped with restrooms.
7. Are there stores and restaurants in the area?
There are many restaurants and shops with in walking distance. Some restaurants in the area include Rosario Pizza, Better Buzz Coffee Roasters, Guava Beach, The Olive Cafe, and Miss B’s Coconut Cafe.
Other Activities:
Surfari Surf School offers private, semi-private, and group surf lessons daily.
In addition, we offer lessons that are perfect for beginners, as well as intermediate coaching to improve on previous surf experience.
Firstly, lessons begin in the surf shop with land instruction that covers proper surfing techniques. Including paddling, positioning on the board, standing, wave selection, and surf etiquette.
After the lesson is finished we will move to the ocean where students will demonstrate what they have learned with supervised practice time.
